Did something change with the New York Times? My account doesn't work anymore.
I used to get into the New York Times provided by the college, but it is no longer working, Did something change?
Answer
Due to an account problem with New York Times all accounts linked to Waubonsee prior to Aug, 25, 2023 were reset. Sign back in using the link on the library databases page to reactivate your subscription.
- Visit the New York Times via the link provided by the library.
- If prompted, login to mywcc using your waubonsee login and password.
- Click "Continue" to accept the terms of service form New York Times.
- If you have previously used New York Times, click the "Already have an account? Log in" link. Otherwise you will need to click "Create Account" to register for a New York Times account, and follow the steps on the page. Otherwise:
- Enter your email address you used for your New York Times account previously. (or use one of the links for Google, Facebook, or Apple accounts)
- When prompted enter your password.
- Choose your type of access, Student or Staff/Faculty.
- You should now see a message that notifies you that you have been given access to New York Times. The message will let you know how long your access will be active.
Note: If you have paid for a subscription to the New York Times Online you will need to contact New York Times to cancel that subscription, before you can use the subscription provided by Waubonsee Community College.
